Katina Militia

The Katina Militia was originally placed to keep the evil contained in the old House of Stone. Since the arrival of the Local 509, this mission has been modified to protect and encourage expansion in this area of the frontier. They were instrumental in protecting the town against the Orc attack and in the battle with the undead minions of the Lich. On both occasions, the militia proved to be a disciplined and well command force.

There are 24 horses that are commonly used for patrols. These are light war horses that are battle tested and although they have no barding are fearless in battle and well trained.

Mordicity seldom goes out on patrol. Instead he concernes himself mostly with the administratve and training aspects of garison duty. This is not from personal preference; he would rather be out on the trails. It is duty that keeps him in the fort most of the time. He is a hard taskmaster and although he keeps the men very busy with work, they respect his authority and his overall competance.

When the entire force is sent into the field, they form into 4 groups; 2 on horse and 2 on foot. Patrols A and B commonly form the cavelry with C and D doing the infantry. The officers and NCOs are always on horse (unless on a mission requiring stealth).
