It takes him a while to come around, but he does and begins speaking
in bear to Loric.
After a short conversation he asks to go outside in the fresh air.
He then assumes his bear shape and roars to the bears in the area to
attend him.
There are answering roars from all around the forest.
He tells the party the drow killed the fighting friends and sent him
a false message of help. He owed them a favor so came to help them
and was trapped in the globe by a minion of the Drow Queen that had
a glass globe or potion that was thrown on the floor at his feet.
That was the last thing he remembers other than the 76 years waiting
for a rescue.
They return to the lake where he turns the old in into a makeshift
throne and waits for the bears that start to arrive. By night there
were 13 in attendance to him. One went off to hunt for him, another
agreed to mate with him. He got reports from all of them and
instructed them to seek out bears near their homes and tell them he
is back and may require them to come to him.
He then changes shape back to humanoid and talks to the party at
length getting their evaluation of the current state of the forest
and their story of how Loric is with them and what they came to
accomplish coming to the Spiderhaunt.
He regards Loric as his savior and gives her a magic ability to cure
1d8+1 points of healing with a lick once per day.
He tells them he is in their debt (particularly Ro) and will send
them something.
He asks them to go and let Elminster that he is back and how he was
imprisoned.
He runs off into the night.
The party gets some of his hair that was stuck in the broken wood
pieces of the hut he pulled down
