In civilized places, all weapons must have a hole bored in the pumel somewhere allowing the "Peace"to be placed through it. The "Piece" is a metal wire which i placed through the haft of the weapon, and into the sheaf around it. This is commonly sealed with a wax blob inscribed with the symbol of the ruler of the area the players are in.

If the seal is broken, and there is no recorded reason, the bearer of the broken "seal" will be investigated to see if a crime occured. This seal changes depending on the ruler of the area.
