Magic on Seker

Since some Technology works, the gods have compensated and reduced the amount of magical energy that is available on this world. This is most obvious in the spells of the Dispoilers in the Dark Sun valley which rob the magical enerygy from the life force of all that surrounds them.

In general, magic is ½ as powerful. To calculate this, devide the level of the caster by 2.

For magical items, see the chart below:

  • Potions: - 20% chance of failure and ½ normal duration
  • Scrolls, - 20% chance of failure and ½ normal power (duration and area of effect)
  • Rings - Don’t work at all
  • Rods, Staves, Wands - ½ Power (duration, HD, Area of effect)
  • Misc magic - 20% chance of failure, ½ Power
  • Weapons - Magical pluses are ½ normal rounded down. Extra abilibies will fail 50% of the time.
