The Mapping of Undermountain or Where the Hell is Everybody?

First record since the Comapq went down! It's great not to have to use ugly
old paper! Pisheo is mapper, Dromar is leader.
They are in Undermountain on the third level outside the room with the
Dopplegangers after Ember and Stallen fled.
Stallen wants to cast a spell to make sure that his spells weren't sucked
away by the door. He casts choak spell. It works.
Timber goes to the intersection and casts a healing on himself.

T-They go to 306 and begin to map. then the go to door (feeble) and

T-Timber searches for tracks (there aren't any of intrest) and no enc.

T-Stallen enters and starts to search.

Statues of a man a woman they are magical.
The statues are of indefferent carving and of humble material; the grey
graite of the dungeon. They are on 6" pedistal and are a total of 8' high.
The woman asks what a person's purpose is. Constructed by Neffar.
The man turns the touched into a flesh golumn with exactly the same stats and
subject to undead problems.

They are just in sight of the natural caverns.
They move toward the lake and investigate. They don't find anything. No enc.
JK tests the water by tasting it. It tastes biter, but is drinkable.
T-Stallen flying and Timber as a bat take off and investigate the islands in
the center of the lake.
T-Timber goes back to the party, Stallen does a clock-wise navigation around
the circumferance of the lake.
They go out of the irregular area and back into the regular area. They go to
Room 310 and

T-Pisheo picks the lock and Timber opens the door (and gets the shock)
The statues are made out of milkey white marble with no viegns.
A-5,8-Human with a benificient expression on a clerical type. Advises
characters that they should raise whatever char has reciently died.
b-5,2- Barbarian type looking down and to the west. Tells characters to
always be brave. +2 to hit in next battle as long as he does not retreat.
Works for fighters only.
c-7,5-Looks like an Efreete looks toward the door, Touching statue shape
changes char to a efreete. Only a remove curse will change person back.
d-Giant squating Toad statue facing to the door-7,4-Shape changes char to
Giant Toad. A kiss will turn her back.
e-3,1-The statue is human and is smiling. Touching casts sleep that lasts 2d6
hours no save (but for elves). Acts as a Nap spell, even if the spell was
cast the same 24 hours!
g-6,Bard of tales dressed in fine robes.7-Demands poem and rewards a
successful telling within 2 rounds with a healing potion. Bards only!
Non-bards are struck dumb for 1d12 hours!
Statues are of the same age and manufacture; Human, TikaTeaka (maker),
Starteling Statue, Senicol (crumbling stairs). 245 years old, Chaotic evil,
250gp.

JK attacks the statue with a dimension blade on his 2hand sword and the
statue saves twice. Thrid time, he succeeds and the weapon is distroyed and
he takes damage. The statue is distroyed (it is sliced across diagonally) and
in two pieces.

Katrina does one on the same statue. Timber touches the cleirc statue 3 times
as Victorex did.
