Notes on the 'Cuda arriving at the Rock of Brall
Phanto knows the routine. He pulls up to the docks which are rows of ship
sized holes in the side of the asteroid. Light rocks in the hands of a port
hand guide the ship into the indicated berth. For ships that require water
(like the'Cuda) in order to land, the berth has a hole on the bottom that
is full of water. At the edge of the hole is the small dock that supports
the gang plank. A delegation of 3 men waits for the captain (phantozee) to
appear. They will then arrange the fees and taxes that will be paid. Fees
are 1 sp per day per ton (the 'Cuda is 30 tons). The taxes are 1% of the cargo
value as set by the tax collector. The silks in the hold are very valuable
and Phantozee will make a profit of 1500gp (bought the cargo for 800gp and
sells it for 2300). The cargo will be estimated at 2250gp and the tax is 225gp.
Phanto is well known here and will receive good treatment from local officials.
The above ground docs are used when it's only passengers loading and unloading.
